I just picked up what I'm pretty sure is a Florence Knoll Paralell Bar loveseat. It is unmarked, but seems to have all of the proper details, save the tufted fabric most have. It has the taper at the end of the legs, through tenons, etc. What are thoughts on authenticity?
It has a crack in the frame that is pretty severe. I have a friend who is a cabinetmaker that should be able to either repair it, or fabricate and rebuild the part.
Also, the foam is petrified and I'm wondering how the heck you get access to the inside of the cushions and/or remove them. Is anyone familiar?
She's not a stunner, but I think it has some cool potential.

Odd
The shape and the design of the frame look correct, but the upholstery is wrong. It should not have the buttons, it should have a shallow box tufting on the seat and back. Also the wood should be walnut or teak. Can't tell what kind of wood that is on yours but it does not look like either walnut or teak in your photos.
Also that design is model 52 W settee. The parallel bar designation is for the pieces with that same basic design, but with a base made of two parallel steel bars.
Compare the dimentions, the Knoll settee was 56" wide, 31" deep and 30" high. Upholstery could have been changed, but dims should not.

Thanks Pegboard. The measurements are all the same. Just flipped it over, detached the frame and spied this model number, is this a Knoll number, or is it indicative of it being form another manufacturer. Also interesting; there seem to be two versions of this settee, one with four legs like the one I have, and another with an extra leg added in the middle at both the front and back. Was this a later evolution?
