Looks like the rare
Lane "Yin, Ling, Yang" occasional table. It's American made, but heavily influenced by ancient Chinese philosophy. That is except for the lower magazine shelf. That's a Western detail and runs contrary to the three elemental forces (earth, air, cellulose) that converge to create the circular top. The triangular form comes from a decidedly Judeo-Christian tradition that references the holy trinity bracing the legs. Without this underpinning, the table would fall flat on the floor and become nothing more than a decorative mandala. So the combination of Eastern and Western sensibilities seen in this piece creates a delicate balance which sustains the gravity-defying combination of wooden elements.
Very nice.
Or I might be completely wrong, in which case I haven't a clue about your table other than it looks like some pretty Deluxe Junk and you can put a lamp on it.
