I found this sofa at a flea market in Sweden today. The seat and back cushions are missing, but the frame is pretty nice I think... It is all wood and a very simple construction. It's probably a cheaper sofa from the 50's and by a lesser known Swedish or Danish designer, since I could find no manufacturers markings.

-Does anyone have an idea who designed it?

Construction....
That kind of straighforwardness of the piece, especially if it's heavy reminds me so much of Elias Svedberg's table and chairs.

Yes, it has some resemblance...
Yes, it has some resemblance to pieces by Svedberg, but I have not seen anything that is close enough so far.
Another thing that points towards Svedberg, is that it can be taken apart pretty easily. Svedberg was the designer who came up with the series Triva for NK in the 40's. Triva was the first furniture line that was designed to be assembled by the buyer. Something IKEA later borrowed and made their trademark.

yes, without the seat and back cushions it looks a bit like a lounge seating for a church...
