Not sure whether the versions you're referring to are interchangeable or not. But after taking just one apart and putting it back together, I'd had my fill. Quite a hassle. Aluminum Group chairs are definitely one of those designs I'd only look to purchase in satisfactory condition. Lovely and all but damn are they a pain in the ass to deal with.
