Hello,

Wanted to get anyone's opinions on a lighting pendant fixture that offers effective overhead task lighting for an office space, but still has a sense of design and aesthetic. The lighting will be going over a Florence Knoll Desk/table paired with two Nelson Swag chairs.

Most overhead pendant lighting is either too diffused (like bubble lamps) or the lighting spread is too narrow for a task lighting.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
RG

I've always thought that...
I've always thought that track lighting is great for office space. I know some look down on it, but it has been used effectively in many applications by many great architects of the past and present. Swivelier who has been making lighting products for 60 years has some nice bullet shaped track fixtures which I think work well in offices.

you just can't do better...
than get yourself a tolomeo table lamp (Artemide) Simple and flexible. Plus you can put a energy saver fluro in it to cut down on greenhouse emissions.
