Strange Thing sofa by Philippe Starck  

Looks like it would swallow the family dog!
Very Starck,very other worldly-good way of describing it! Although, I can see how he borrows certain elements from Saarinen's chair,and puts his own spin on it.Like composing good music,one must borrow a verse here and there,not outright steal.

If it did not have Starck's name on it...
would it be noteworthy?
No.
As Phillipe reputedly said, "Design (for him) is dead."
