Hi 🙂 This morning I bought a box marked with the logo of Danish furniture maker E. Kold Christensen. It's filled with pictures of Poul Kjærholm's chairs and tables. There are 40 pictures in total and some of them fold out. Some guy tapped me on the shoulder and told me that the box was designed by Poul Kjærholm. Does anyone know if this it true? - and how many pictures should the box contain? I don't know if it's complete or not. I've googled it but I can only find one other box and that contains 25 pictures.
Very nice
That looks like a beautiful portfolio. I've not seen it before, so I'm afraid that I don't have any real insight to share. I have read that Kjaerholm designed the logo for EKC, but whether he was involved in any graphic or packaging design or the photography of his furniture I could not tell you.
Hi there,
I have a book...
Hi there,
I have a book called 'The Furniture of Poul Kjarrholm'Catalogue Raisonne 2007. On page 219 it talks about E. Kold Christensen catalogues. It says " In 1960-61, Kjaerholm designed a square slipcase that .......... These slipcased catalogues.... remained in production until the mid-1970's."
I hope that helps.
Barry.
