Hi all, new to this great forum.

I'm moving into a small 3 1/2 next year, and the living room has one exposed limestone wall that I want to highlight. I'm very new to interior design and would love your input on this quite basic question of aesthetics. Though I'm sure alot of it is personal taste, I thought some of you might be able to share some more insight into why you chose the way you did, of the two options I'm about to present.

The furniture will likely be a somewhat cliché mix of barcelona style chairs, low coffee table with carpet, some antique raw wood sidetables, possibly an eames chair. I have also a large flat screen television to work with.

The room is a rectangle, with the stone wall and plain wall facing each other at the long ends, and on one side are two windows, the other, entrances to the bedroom and kitchen.

So, the two options;

1-tv against the stone wall, with the sofa in the middle of the room, and my desk facing the opposite wall.

1-option 1 but flipped. so sofa against the stone wall, and tv in the middle of the room.

I'm leaning towards option 1, so that when someone enters the room they see the back of the sofa, and then see the tv on the stone wall.

Cheers for any opinions!
