Woof, I'm not going ape
over it, and Lloyd, your cute reply didn't help me either.
I was just curious if it might be one of the more unusual Nelson/Harper/Umanoff clocks.

Barry,
Is it you who bought...
Barry,
Is it you who bought all those clock catalog reproductions a few months ago? If so, did you see the flip clock in it (and if so, what year?) I'm just curious...

I don't think I saw the flip clock
and that was why I was asking.
I have no interest in the clock, but I was curious about it.
I find a lot of the clocks for sale interesting even though I'm not interested in buying them!

These clock threads are...
These clock threads are brilliant - Barry and LRF are building a real treasury of Nelson (and non Nelson) clock design. But you guys really need to get together and turn it all into a book before Peter Fiell or someone comes up with '1000 Clocks' - this should be your gig!

Got this Basket clock yesterday
wow...it's in amazingly perfect condition! The woven basket is mint and all of the metal hour markers have their proper bolts holding them. The round motor case is actually walnut and looks nice. The cord was missing and inside the walnut case was the two motor wire and even the original porcelain nuts were there.
I went to the hardware store and bought white cord and a plug and it not only works perfectly, but it's quiet enough for me to put in my bedroom.
I always thought this was cheesy clock (you know, wicker, etc...) but it's really a nicely designed, homey 1950's modern designed clock!

Sure, my friend has one. There's also one with an oval wicker face. These aren't terribly rare, but they're nice. I like.

They usually go for about...
They usually go for about $200 or so on ebay -- I think a perfect one went for about $225 a year ago. Less obviously for clocks with broken wicker. Barry got a good deal.

this is my clock
hi all, i have somehow stumbled across this forum and your thread and noticed my clock found its way on to here.
i also have a brass ball clock with wooden balls in brilliant condition but like the steering wheel clock that i put on ebay (didn't reach its silly reserve price) i really don't know what either of them a really worth to a serious collector.
is it pc to seek your guidance on the values

Welcome to the forum, Optimum
Just so you know apparently these were the best sellers and most commonly found clocks:
-Ball clock,
-Steering wheel clock,
-Spike or sunburst clock
-Cronopack round table clock with the spring base
Optimum, take a look at the Nelson blog, which contains the previous 4 threads about Nelson clocks. There's tons of cool pictures of other clocks, many of which are damn rare.
