I agree 100 percent they know from "Goonish " if you know what that means, nothing!, and it is real confusing to me, i have made several calls and they all act the same [code word we do not know] you would think a great company rich in history would love those Nelson clocks but they act like they are a thorn in the side or a pain in the Neck. and lets not go there,
But if you want to talk about those ugly old granddaddy clocks they have internet sights, fan clubs, and you name it, kinda sad and it makes it real hard to get info on all this great stuff,
so my friend every thing you say i have experienced my self.

...and speaking of customer service
I called the person at vitra THREE times and left voice mails about buying some clock hands.
I just happen to call again today and lo and behold, she answered the phone.
She asked me to email her with my requirements; I've yet to hear back.....
She was sketchy about if Vitra was going to issue any more Nelson clocks.

You must be talking about Patty Miller she is really a very lovely lady and i deal with her all the time.
she is customer service and can get you any of the hands that vitra makes . they are mostly 18.00 US dollars and 5.00 to ship if any one needs her telephone number it is 610 391 9780 ext. 119.
asking her if Vitra was going to make any more clocks
is like asking me , she has no idea
Side bar .....
someone should get with Vitra and see if they can produce some new cool Nelson designs cause the 10 or 11 that they make are just the tip of the ice berg he has so many other fabulous ones out there it makes me wonder how they chose the ones they did, and left so many cool ones behind,

thanks for sharing that steering wheel from the European side of Ebay i never look on that side
but if you are a real serious collector that is as original as you can get,
i wonder why Vitra changed the hands to white, when the original ones where black another interesting thing is the tape on the markers has dried up and started to curl, something old would do,
....very interesting,
The electric chords don't bother me
I actually treasure my electric clocks more than my battery ones....call me old fashioned. I'd especially love to get a winding model, but so far, no luck.
Enjoying a vintage electric clock, chord and all is like collecting and playing my original 1920's and 1930's 78's....I could get 'em on CD, but I prefer the originals.
