I bought a pair of these rattan chairs at the local Goodwill. The frames are a heavy gauge stainless steel tube, so I figured they at least had some quality in their materials, and you can't beat $6.50 each. The only example I could find is the one linked below at 1stdibs, which only identifies it as a mid-century rattan chair. Is anyone familiar with the the manufacturer? There is only a remnant of a "Made in..." tag.

I had seen these on 1st dibs...
I had seen these on 1st dibs several other times before - the other dealers referred to them as a Harvey Probber design. I sold a pair as well, pretty inexpensively (they had some condition issues), the backs on mine were a little different, but I also attributed to Probber..... but I am not TOTALLY positive about them being a Probber design.. good luck!

Spinario,
Thanks a lot. The photos of your chairs do have a very similar feel to their construction compared to mine, and I could easily see them having the same origin.
