Despite its name, the Spice Gun is not a clever new weapon to dispatch 1990s Girl Bands. Instead, it is a concept delivery system for seasonings

Not Only useless and underwhelming
but clunky, chunky and butt ugly. Just another way to isolate oneself from life. If this became the standard there'd be no more pinch of this and a dash of that, to say nothing of "grab a bunch of these" and add to...
Plus, why must everything be weaponized Spice "GUN"

pithy critique
a few somewhat random thoughts:
> a perfect display of design without discretion.
> the practicality of a beer bong, but not as much prestige.
> some ideas are better kept to yourself.
> never buy any kitchen aid that requires a background check.

Nothing to do with Spice Guns just an observation
All of the responses to this post are all from people (kdc, Robert1960, Killian, and Olive) whose posts I have enjoyed reading over the last year or so.
I have also noticed from these four that we seem to share many of the same cultural references. I am going to bet that the four of you were all born between 1959/1960 and to about 1962 making the five of us all at the tail end of the baby boom. Have I guessed correctly or missed by decades. Just curious.
There are a few others that seem to share similar reference points but 4 of you all responded to this post. Very weird.

.
I think its prett vile too but I followed the links and had a closer look.
I'm pretty sure its a 3d model, a competition winner (!) by a chinese designer and is not for sale and probably not even in production, praise the lord.
It does make you think about other designs that combine the dispensing of substances (shower shampoo/conditioner diespeners, those pens that with a click have red/blue/green nibs, pet food dispenesers etc). They seem to be trying hard to provide convenience but in the end narrow your options, and what if you have more than six spices, and amounts that won't fit in the barrell? I'm sure weve all had spice bottles where you end up with half used packets at the back of the pantry.
This object, which looks nice but interrupts the normal use of language/behaviour at the dinner table is interesting.

The best concept delivery...
The best concept delivery system for seasonings I think goes back many years in time: it was called a garden. Sincerely, hudsonhonu, born 1960, child of the Veg-0-Matic era, who won't be ordering the spice gun unless I can get it in three easy payments from TV.

Bang on Big TV Man!
I'm vintage, 1961!
Never had a veg-o-matic, but my Mom made her own granola and my Gram made me crocheted vests...kinda miss those somehow.
Heath...good pepper/salt/spice mills are really only found by one company Peugeot...yes the car company...making grinding mills was an offshoot of their bicycle manufacturing days.
