you don't get it guys. I'm...
you don't get it guys. I'm pretty sure it's easier to allege that whoever has been sitting in MCM designed chairs in the middle of the last century in South Africa would have been pro-apartheid. It's harder to trace an ercol nest of tables to the parachute regiment on Bloody Sunday. Plus the occupation of Ireland is less controversial than apartheid so arguably less problematic. If I said that an ass in an MCM chair in Rhodesia around the same time would have been pro-apartheid you would have probably agreed.
.
Tell me what I should do Lit up? I'm Rhodesian born, what should I do with my personal affects? Old family things, are they tainted, should I hide them away? Never to be discussed?
I feel no guilt owning or using them, I even had a nanny, and she was black! Terrible huh, maybe you could call my parents and tell them what bad people they were.
As for the rest of your ridiculous and ignorant statement, I can't even be bothered.

mid century design in South Africa
I am very intersted in mid century design, especially furniture and household accessories. And as a South African I would be interested top see what was designed here and how it was influenced by European and American trends and also how the designs differed.
