We just picked up this sofa yesterday. It's a black naughahyde, tufted, button-less, five-leg, three-seater, 77x28x31. There's black hopsack on the back of the cushions and orange hopsack underneath the cushions, and what I think to be walnut legs. There's a club chair that goes with it and I'm picking that up tomorrow afternoon.

Can anyone help us with ID-ing it? We have looked everywhere for labels, but there are none to be found. The guy listing it said he was selling it for his daughter, who got it from her in-laws (so they thought it was 1970s).

My first thought was Baughman, Knoll, or Probber, but then I was baffled because the cushion shape didn't seem right. It's good quality, really heavy (wood frame), and the foam is in perfect shape. And yes, that's cat hair and house paint slathered on it 🙁 That has to come off before we move it to the bedroom.

B W Chair Company, Omaha, Nebraska
We finally found the maker of the sofa set (it was on a handwritten, yellowed tag on the bottom of the club chair). It was made by the BW Chair Company of Omaha, Nebraska, style 9128BLW, color 800, invoice #5912. While it's not any particular "designer", it's an amazingly heavy and good quality set and one that we hope will last us quite a while.
Now we have two nice, reasonably priced sofa sets, so our sofa hunts may end for a bit, which will be good for our wallets (!)
Thanks for your consideration, everyone.

Reminds me of Knoll + Risom.
