My parents recently gifted me with the coffee table that was in our home when I was growing up. They bought it between 1969-1971. It's 45" square, 15" high, and quite heavy. The top is 3/4" smoked glass and the base is solid metal with a mirror chrome finish. There are four solid black plastic discs that sit at the intersections of the top of the base, under the glass. I've crawled around underneath looking for a manufacturer marking but haven't found anything.
I would love any information about it. It's really beautifully made.

Thank you! Now I want to...
Thank you! Now I want to photograph some of the other pieces they gifted me with to see what they are too. It really deepens my appreciation of any piece when I know more about it. I'm grateful for the help!
And boy do I wish they hadn't given away so many pieces in the early 90s - the arc lamp, the Barcelona chairs, the slat benches, etc. I would give my eye teeth for them now!

In fairness Jane
The Scarpa I.D. would not have been a difficult one to find yourself. I think in the interest of your new found appreciation of these pieces you really ought to do most of the research yourself and then maybe contribute posts relating to your items from the point of view of what you have discovered instead of simply asking what they are. Just my two cents and meant in the most positive way even though I appreciate it might not be taken that way by some who read this. I wish you the best. Killian.
ps:
By way of a tip....
use google images first....goolgle "slatted bench" as an example and then look at the results. If you see something like yours then count the slats, make sure the dimensions are the same and chances are you have found your piece. If you dont find it straight away then look at the images you do find and use the keywords you keep seeing to narrow your search....for example you will see "Nelson" Yugoslavian etc when you look up slatted benches. Once you have narrowed the field then start to do google and google image searches and you will find what you are looking for.
