Hi all, I've recently acquired a little cut on my Eames Lounge Chair. I don't even know where it came from. It's the standard HM 2109 leather. I'd like advice on how to, if possible, repair it; if not, to prevent it from getting ripped open more. I've already swapped it with the ottoman, so there's less stress on the leather. Also, I'd be curious to know what people use to clean and condition the leather. I know HM suggests only dusting and cleaning with a damp cloth, but have people tried other things and had good results?

That's it?
It's all relative, of course, but I probably wouldn't touch it. Eames Lounge sets look best after they've had time to acquire their own unique personalities.
Your cushions appear fairly new and the cut is so tiny and doesn't look to go all the way through. If you really can't stand it though, you could use the tiniest amount of liquid hide glue to try and seal the cut. I'm talking less than a drop applied with a #000 artist's brush and wipe away any excess immediately with an almost damp clean rag. Stay away from anything that contains any kind of solvent including any of the cyanoacrylate or 'super' glues
Save any leather dressing for when the skins start to feel stiff and dry - likely years away yet. Meanwhile, it's probably best to stick with HM recommendations.
