Hi,
My neighbours put this desk with the garbage last year and I've been using it in my studio ever since. I'm thinking of getting rid of it because it's not mobile, but still hesitating because I really like it. Has anyone got an idea of the manufacturer ? I think it's from the sixties. The drawing board is not a part of it.

I think
it is totally cool -- even with the mismatched handles. The cantilevered left leg is interesting -- what do you suppose the three holes were for ?
Nice drafting board, too. An antique ?

The drafting board is from...
The drafting board is from my father who used it in the late 50ies when he was studying in Gothenburg. It is Swedish.
The three holes in the leg of the desk make me wonder if a piece is missing, maybe some kind of support to put your feet on. But underneath the surface of the desk are similar holes, so I don't really know what they are for. I hope that someone might recognize it so that I can find out more about it.
Yes, the one handle that is missing ... I hope to find one, or otherwise have a new one made to resemble the orginal ones.

I
I suspect the holes were to support a 'modesty' panel, but frankly on a desk this size it would just get in the way of your feet.
nice desk!
