Looks like Sergio Rodrigues meets the Bwana chair.
A Google search for me turns up Simmons Upholstery, which seems to be related to the Simmons mattress empire. They seem to have had a few logos that incorporate globe motifs, although I could not find one that matches yours. Their current products are available for purchase through sites like Amazon, Sears, and Walmart.
Perhaps you could contact them to see if they made your chair in the past, or if it is a different Simmons.
Shedua (Guibourtia ehie) is in the same genus as the various woods that go by the name Bubinga, and it was occasionally used in the era (Dansk exotic woods line for example). And it looks very similar to Bubinga to me.
And for the record I am not suggesting that tktoo is wrong. I have no idea what that wood is. And I am not very familiar with Bubinga or Shedua in person.
