Quite nice for what i payed....Im a sucker for those tapered legs...

but i can't tell who the designer is, I had to refinish it but its in great shape now, and while redoing it i came across the date
November 17, 1958 and also came across a stamped number 178.

It looks like Paul McCobb's style, and it could be, but not exactly sure, Anyone Know what it may be worth?
Im guessing 300 bucks or so

anyway, send thoughts!

thanks

As with anything else...
It's worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

schef, have you ever noticed
the large blue thread at the top of the forum that reads:
"GUIDE TO USE THIS FORUM - Please read before posting! Thank you."
To quote:
"You may ask for help identifying an object's designer, producer, period, style,
material etc. - but not its commercial value. This forum is not a free
valuation service."
Once you know who the designer is, the value of your item can easily be figured out with a little google research.

ok
well i have seen hundreds of posts of value questions,
i also have been quite helpful to some figuring out what is what,
I was wondering who made this that is all, and the value it may be worth,
i have read 5 today asking values of there object.
Whats with all the sass talk.

Mate...
I can't remember one legit post you've made on this forum.
Every time I see your name it's synonymous with ID and value.
And why you're trying to defend yourself when you've just admitted(which was quite obvious) you were(and apparently still are) requesting commercial value which is against the rules is beyond me.
You and Lenox are just about the most redundant posters on this forum at the moment.
Be at peace.

Those brass(y) tipped legs...
Those brass(y) tipped legs look like a much lesser quality than the rest of the sideboard. Could they be replacements or a later addition?

?
So.. any chance that the unit is a small (48"??) Florence Knoll credenza (wall mounted variety) where some fool added the wrong legs ? The photo's are quite poor.

Hmmm, My initial thought...
Hmmm, My initial thought until I saw the legs was Knoll, given it's simple boxiness and leather pulls.

Any evidence legs were ever moved or evidence that it was meant to hang?

The miter joint on the corners
I think is a good clue. Here is another Knoll credenza.

For those
who don't know what a miter joint is:
