This is my first attempt ever at making a wreath.
I am so proud, albeit blazed,
Aunt Mark.
ps I (myself) actually cranked out the faux tannenbaum this afternoon whilst coma-tising my innards. And I'm gonna post a snap. This is the first time I've had an xmas tree, etc., in decades. Why not?

and then...
I whipped up a very traditional wreath for the front door...using leftover junk that was in my storage unit. Junk.Junk.Junk.Jesus.Jesus. Jesus.
Good Puffs to all,
Aunt Mark

And a quick close up of my fake tree.
ps I also created a "hillbilly" tree ( that I would love to show). It's on the terrace. I really must go, though.
Until then,
Aunt Xmas

Breathtaking, Mark.
I don't have any pics of my tree this year because it's backlit and hard to photograph, and also it's frightfully lopsided and not very photogenic! But here are some ornaments that hang on it.
This photo of Cindy McCain is from 2008---one of my kids found 3D paper figures online that you could print and assemble. Barack, Michelle and John are lost to the ages but Cindy remains. She is coming undone this year but she still hangs.
The Danish folded paper star is both very traditional and very modern, I think. A Danish friend invited my kids and me to her house for æbleskiver and gløgg the year we lived there and she showed me how to fold these. I've made a lot since. They're fun to do once you get the hang of it. They are all over Denmark at Christmas time, in shop windows, homes, everywhere.
And lastly, I don't know where this tree is. I have the squirrel but I can't find the tree. I hope I didn't throw it out. I can't have. I like it so much.

My dearest *spanky*,
I simply am in love with your squirrel, and I know for fact that Mr. Chopper would be smitten as well. What sweet holiday decor!
Egg-nog and Chicken-nog being served, order up....
Your Aunt Mark
ps a snappy of my favorite ornament. My tree looked much better last night....

And I used leftover purple toulle (sp?) for a tree skirt
that was originally intended to be used by SDR for one of his ballet dance recital's. He had other ideas.
Fondly,
Aunt Mark

Spanky I'm very glad to see that captivating image of the squirrel again.
I now consider it a DA Christmas tradition, the holidays would't be the same without it.
Best wishes to you all.

Mark, your balls,
dare I say, are dangerously close to making your "tree" look small.
Then, of course, photos can often deceive.
Daring move. Playing with scale can be tricky, but I guess if anyone could pull it off, it would be you.
Merry, merry.

So THAT's where
my blue tulle went . . .
For someone who hasn't had a tree in years, Mark sure has a lot of balls.
Hmm. Tulle. Blue. Balls.
Merry Xmas !

I can't stop.
I found some glass ornaments (Blenko? probably not.) and attached them to a tree that I rescued from the dumpster. I feel the love.

Is it just me ?
Or am I weird ? I'd much rather see Mark's pants, or his bulbs,
than read about yet another COLLECTING DEAL GONE BAD . . .
And -- we all made it through another Friday the 13th. Yay !
