I do not yet own the EDITH mailbox for Think Item, but it is on my short list. Last year (April 20120) the price was $1200.00. Any color is available, but I do enjoy the hot pink and I am sure my neighbors would not.

Niceguy - I LOVE that mail box. In the UK we decided not to have a letterbox in our new door, as it just would have ruined it. However, in the absence of finding anything we liked, we decided to have a brick removed from the porch, and an old British postbox installed - the small kind that they have in walls in villages in Britain. I'm sure that somebody will report us for it eventually, and we shall be arrested.

I should add that the opening is too small really, but hey. Oh, and not at all modern. Not at all.

I do appreciate your letter box. Sometimes it is hard to determine what is modern.
Once at the London Zoo I saw the Spastic Society collection box and thought it was too cool. Now Damien Hirst has made this same item a "modern" work of art.
I should also note that the great self promoter and designer Karim Rashid has designed the Canadian post box. As a part of "The Empire" this may hold a special place in your heart.

Vintage Mailbox
We looked forever for a "modern" mailbox to replace the horrible, ill-fitting mass-market mailbox. We were going to buy one by Brabantia, but found this in a local architectural salvage.
