Hi.
I want to buy a quite heavy but smaller item (a Verner Panton Barboy) from a small auctionhouse in Aston, PA but since i live in Sweden i wanted to check if someone could recommend a packer/shipper in that area?
I have had some trouble before, especially with smaller auctionhouses, to get stuff shipped overseas.
Either they wont dont do it themselves or it will cost a fortune with the places they recommend.
Anyone have an idea?

try this
Api,
The people at Navis Pack & Ship are reliable. They are in Philadelphia (very close to the small town of Aston).
This sounds like the service you require " full service pickup in the U.S. and Canada, including pickup of your items from your office or home and safe transport back to our warehouse for packing and shipping".
It is worth a try.

Hi
It appears that this auction is only live in-person now (no online bidding)?

Yes!
Got it for $450 plus...
Yes!
Got it for $450 plus premium.
Will most likely cost as much to get it shipped here since it is quite heavy.
But it is a very early one (no metalstrip along the spine on the outside) and only the second i have ever seen in the wood finish.
Most were painted white or black and some red.

Yeah, very happy with the...
Yeah, very happy with the price!
Although i have focused on the late 60`s/early 70´s era for my Panton collection i still love some of these early pieces and have a few already, so this will fit right in.
Would also love to find one of the square, super low coffetables from the same series as the Bar boy one day.
And a Storz & Palmer chaise lounge, and....and.....and.....!
Sorry, did not see what the Risom table went for, you will have to be patient until tomorrow!
