Comparing it to Breuer's wood-framed lounge chair or Saarinen's Grasshopper chair, one wonders how this shape can be comfortable if those others are. . .
I suspect that one would have a sore back (from too little support of the lower back) after a little while in this lounge. But who knows for sure -- every user is different. Some are comfortable in the Eames lounger and others report it doesn't work for them. Same with every chair, perhaps. . .

Sadly, SDR, I suspect that you are correct. It's just not functional enough, so I can't buy it. (Also, my husband and I do not see eye-to-eye on its sex appeal.)
But I could just lounge in it and look good. Anyone would look sexy in this chair, but the getting into it and out of it might not be so attractive!

SDR, I'm not sure how many people would want to see that! Maybe when I was younger, but that chair is only a little older than I am (maybe), and we both could use some sprucing up.

I saw that sexy lounge chair,too
when you add up the depth. It's a long and would need a right spot in the room. (large space needed) BUT, I love the lines of that chair. very nice.

Meh. I guess it's got a certain wanton quality... but I like my chairs the same way I like my men--- calm, controlled, judicious, and sans fuzzy orange stool.
