HI there,
We have an authentic Eames lounge chair & ottoman, bought for a fortune several years ago. We have moved house and have no room for it, so it needs to be sold. I thought I would try ebay, but it is awash with repros which sell for £300. It might not be the best place to sell an authentic one.
Does anyone have any ideas on websites/collectors etc who might be worth contacting.
Thanks, Kate
yes
but yours has the advantage of NOT being a knockoff
ebay is the world. A good audience for something so desirable.
Do you have proof it's authentic? Receipts, etc?
You could pay someone to do the eBay STUFF for you. There are folks who would gladly do so for you. Google your area for contacts.
Reputable = Higher cut of your investment.
thanks waffle. good...
thanks waffle. good advice
No receipt as it was bought years ago (and 4 house moves ago) but I'm hoping there are some very obvious ways for the buyer to see that it is real vs a repro, so will do some homework on that. perhaps a serial no?
it is definitely authentic - thats the issue with ebay isn't it, lots of repros and i want to make sure ours doesn't get mixed up in those listings.
