A customer dropped off two Barcelona chairs from the 1960's after first looking i was sure they were knoll.
when I took them apart and looked inside the pads I saw made by Selig. i was very surprised. I had no idea they ever made Barcelona chairs. I knew they were big with the wood and leather chairs. any idea how many companies made the Barcelona in the 50's and 60's and 70's . I also know that Gordon made them in the early 60's.

LRF...you can make up by reminding a minimum of 5 women just how pretty they are. You gotten off easy this time.
Never saw definitive proof Selig "knocked" off the Barcelona, and you have a tag. Doesn't seem too far stretched as they made other known Bauhaus designs. Does it say made by or imported by Selig?
How's the quality?

I thought Selig was just/mainly an importer... all Selig pieces I've seen are quality.

good quality on the selig Barcelona's
picked up a old pair of knoll Barcelonas from 1962
the stuffing is like crap...

I have 2 Seligs as well
Can we keep in touch as you deal with yours? I've imported mine to Australia and am in the process of trying to get them reupholstered whilst still keeping them "original"...
