I am visiting Seattle for the next 3 weeks. Can anyone recommend any design shops, galleries, interesting architectural sites, etc.?

Thanks in advance

Seattle sites...
My two cents: Gehry's Experience Music Project is worth seeing, if you like his work. The first ever Starbucks can be found in Pike Place Market. If you like glass buildings, the Henry Museum is memorable. And the newish Hyatt next to the convention center did some interesting things with warm woods and lucite. Have fun!

The new Rem Koolhass designed...
The new Rem Koolhass designed public library in downtown up the hill from the market. There is a great architecture/design book store near the Seattle Art Museum I always visit: Peter Miller Books, 1930 1st Ave.There are a few design shops nearby also. If you can drive down to Tacoma check out the Tacoma Glass Musuem also.

And for mid century modern...
Check out the Space Needle and Chartreuse near there on 1st Ave for used modern classics... You'll find lots of design shops below the Pike Market on Western... Diva, Highlights, Currents and more... Seattle is also the home of Gideon Kramer... Designer of the MCM Ion chair (designed for the Space Needle)... The new Koolhaus library is worth a walk thru... I love Seattle... It's a great city!

Thank you...
Thanks to everyone who took the time to give me some tips on design-oriented
sights and scenes to check out in Seattle.
Does anyone have any tips (shops, areas, etc.) regarding shopping for mid-century items?
Thanks again!

One of the best
shops for MCM items is Chartreuse on 1st Ave in Belltown... There was another shop on Capitol Hill... Ask the people at Chartreuse... They'll direct you to the good places...
