Can anyone tell who designed these two chairs? They are from my grandmother's estate. Both have interesting floral print hidden underneath the black mesh on the base.

Don't know the designer, but
the floral fabric is most likely what's called a stretcher--a strip of scrap fabric sewn onto the pricier upholstery fabric so that it can be cut a bit shorter to save on yardage.
