Are people here too snobby...
Are people here too snobby to like this Ikea Poang chair? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/series/07472/
Do normal people consider Ikea Poang a good reading chair?

I like that all the pages have an Eames lounge chair on them.

Kebab,
Another member in one of your previous threads on the subject recommended the Poang...it was readily dismissed by you:"Poäng seems too small. Looks like a folding chair, not a recliner".
While it may not be exactly to your taste, you seem focused on comfort above all else... the poang is certainly that.

No...
They're not too snobby. Most of them would never own a chair like that, so how are they supposed to tell you if it's a good deal or not?
Even if they want to be nice and help, how can they recommend something they don't believe in?
Search eBay for "vintage lounge chair", or "mid century lounge chair", and start looking for something in your price range from the 60's. Then ask people these questions. They'll be a lot more glad to help.
Any general home decoration forum can help you with new lounge chairs... Why keep asking vintage collectors....?

I used to have a Poang.
I thought---and still think---it is one of the most comfortable chairs ever made.

Mathsson reading chair?
I have an Eva chair which actually isn't all that comfortable but maybe this would be?

weird mathsson...
paulanna,
something seems off about that Mathsson chair. I don't think I've ever seen a Model 36 recliner with arms before. The arms where used on the Model 36 work chair ("Eva") and the later Pernilla lounge chairs, but not on the recliner as far as I know, but I might be wrong.
The Pernilla model is a better choice for a reading chair, since the neck is raised a little and it comes with a neck pillow. You actually need another pillow for this chair to be really comfortable (even Mathsson was pictured sitting in his chair with several (!) layers of small pillows tucked in under the original neck pillow).
Another Swede G.A Berg designed a similar chair (after having visited Mathsson's factory incognito, which caused some controversy). Berg's chair was less elegant, but eliminated the need for a neck pillow. -I kind of like it actually...

But my favorite, when on the subject of Swedish reading chairs with saddle-girth is Axel Larsson's Model 1207:

Sorry SDR and all, but there is only room for one associated web link...

Yes it looks like it may be quite difficult to get in, and especially out, of. From a quick glance I can't see it in the big Mathsson book either
Mathsson on Berg - 'an uncommon impudence to simply take whatever he wanted from construction methods developed in recent years'

Kebab, don't you think this...
Kebab, don't you think this has gone a little too far? Steve Jobs hardly had any furniture because he was searching for ideal pieces; he liked the Eameses, and it looks like he had an Eames Lounge.

Perhaps
You should go out there and sit on some chairs.
