Hi,
Please see attached some photos of a desk lamp I purchased recently. It is missing the top shade. I'm planning to have this shade spun to match the original, but I don't know what the original would look like. It has many similarities to Sarfatti's designs, and other Stilnovo designs, but I can't find any information about it in my books or online. Can anyone help?
Stew

While it's obviously inspired by or a variation of the iconic Sarfatti lamp, it looks more French to me. That spike "finial" was a common element in a lot of lamps by Arlus. I didn't see anything googling but it might be a place to start. Also, that cord pass-through on the t-bar base doesn't look like something Sarfatti would have done

Just in case anyone was interested. I have finally located the lamp my 'Decorative Art Studio Year Book 56-57'. Designed by Svend Aage Holm Sorensen for Holm Sorensen & Co, Denmark.
