Hello all,

I found these Saarinen Executive chairs with black legs. I cannot seem to find any other examples with the black legs. Would any of you know in what year these were offered?

They were obviously re-covered with this blue vinyl somewhere along they way.

Thanks!

Thanks
Ahh, thank you! I appreciate your input.
However, the torn blue vinyl will have to be replaced in favor of the Knoll Coti in blue.
Best Regards,
Todd V.

There's soooooooooooo many beautiful Knoll fabrics
for you to choose from.
You can easily get a thumbnail survey of choices by going to hive modern and clicking on the current Saarinen chair and clicking fabrics choices.

Knoll fabrics on ebay
There are many listings for Knoll fabric on ebay, and a lot of it is way, way under retail, even wholesale. Be sure to look at the Ebay "Store" inventory of anyone listing Knoll fabric in an auction format. Lots of fabric sellers have most of their stock listed in Ebay Stores but will do a few auction format sales to draw in buyers who use that search engine.
You can also look at the fabrics on Knoll's website to get familiar with them and get even better deals on Ebay from sellers who sell unlabeled Knoll fabric. It's a good idea to get swatches first if possible, though.
I have loved fabric all my life and Ebay has been my best source ever for upholstery fabrics.
I also shop at PA Fabric Outlet in LeMoyne, PA (near Harrisburg). They regularly have tons of Knoll fabric for under $10/yd.

Reupholstery
Thanks for all of your suggestions. I have a good idea of which Knoll fabrics I prefer. Naturally I prefer the stuff that is $129/yd! So, sourcing it is something I can do myself.
I do prefer a good upholstery job and there is an experienced shop in Southeastern PA called B&K that I plan to use. It won't be cheap, but if I can obtain fabric at a lower price, that'll do.
