I am going to have these chairs reupholstered so that they match our decor and my question is related to the type of fabric that we will use. I am leaning toward using warm/neutral tones and since they will be used as dining chairs should we choose leather or vinyl?
I believe that the green chairs have vinyl or naugahyde. I know that Knoll offers these in leather, however, are they easily susceptible to staining and how would you avoid this altogether? So what is your opinion community leather or vinyl?
Secondly, they are also going to make pads similar to the ones in the picture for my Bertoia's. My chairs came with the original naugahyde pads, however, they are in bad shape. So this question is related to the type of foam that is used within these pads. Someone suggested using dacron so that they would maintain the flat appearance. Is this suggested or is there another specific type of material that should be used?
Thank you, Lenox
