Hi everyone. Just wondering who designed this SELIG tagged lounge chair. Trying to determine if reupholstering it is a worthy investment. Have $200 in it as of now. Thanks.

are you also trying to find its value on ebay by offering it for 799.00?

It's for sale yes
As I'm a dealer. A large percentage of DesignAddict members are as well.

It's listed at $799,
the chair cost you 200, and it needs reupholstering?

It doesn't need it
I just have better fabric for it. The original fabric's in good shape it's just not the best color for the chair in my opinion. I've broken even on pieces in the interest of reviving them to be re-used by collectors. I love the furniture and can't stand seeing it go to waste.

Purple
rocks. If it's in good shape I'd leave it.

I love the aubergine colour
However, I do find that more neutral coloured fabrics sell faster. It would also contrast better with the colour of the wood. If it were my chair to sell though, I would leave it as it is as upholstery ain't cheap

I agree
I'll save my killer VTG fabric for a project that needs it.
Still have no idea who Te designer is. Ole Wanscher has a chair that's leaning in the direction of this design but I'm not sold that it's his.

Thanks Simon, those annuals look like a great resource
Coincidentally there are a few pages on Oliver Thomas' website. The logos I posted on a seperate thread today were also from his website
