Taste is the only morality. Tell me what you like and I'll tell you what you are.--John Ruskin

I wonder what Ruskin would make of the DA poster
who admitted to stealing a Saarinen chair (see "What's Your Best Bargain #1").

Or..
a person with good taste that just happens to be a thief 😉
(Just bought to mind that the Saarinen designed American Embassy here in London might be up for demolition)

But, if, as Ruskin says,
"Taste is the only morality", then the person who steals a Saarinen shares the identical morality with the person who buys a Saarinen, or who admires but can't afford yet doesn't steal one. (Or Saarinen himself... IF taste is morality.)
Perhaps there's more to this morality stuff than Ruskin liked to think?
Tell me what you like to think, and I'll tell you what you are...

Much like the "Tell me what...
Much like the "Tell me what you eat and I'll tell you what you are" line. Cheeky lines, nothing more.
