J & S Book
I spoke to a guy years ago who was planning a book on the Reids but said Sylvia was not interested. Does anyone know if anything came of it?

Yes I remember that too, and I had an early 60s catalogue of their lighting designs (which included the one here, from their Mettalux range)- maybe now that theres more interest in them a book would be viable?

My Dad has written books on modern British art, he knows of a publisher but unfortunately he has become very ill so that probably wouldn't be a goer. Would make for an interesting (and saleable) book for sure.

Rotaflex Interplay + Forrest Modern catalogues?
Hi there, I'm the custodian of Paulanna's Rotaflex catalogue + wanted to mention that your shade is from the 'Interplay' range (not Metallux). I've been in discussion with the Reid family regarding a possible book for a while now so watch this space. Glad to see appreciation of John & Sylvia's work continuing to rise, particularly their lighting.
On a related note does anyone have any printed material regarding John Reid's early lighting designs for George Forrest / Forrest Modern ? Thanks in advance
