Hi, I posted a while back in someone else's thread on the same topic, but on a different model. Unfortunately I never received any responses, perhaps because that thread was solved and the legs in question there were discovered to be orginal?

Anyway, as per the title, I have picked up this lovely piece by Vodder, but the legs seem out of place to me?

The legs are a solid rectangular block, stained black, running from front to back without any stretcher from side to side. When I look inside the sideboard I can see that the legs are attached with two flat head screws each. There's no evidence that there were any other legs attached previously. I've looked at loads of other pics of these sideboards and none have these legs. I wonder are they original?

I have seen this model with slim tapered rosewood legs (or teak if its a teak piece) as well as short square legs, both with stretchers around the base...

Have you seen them before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

black solid piece legs
The legs that are black and a solid piece are similar to a piece on a 1950 Widdicomb dresser that is still in my parent's home. I found the sales receipt this weekend , it was delievered in 1950.
