Hello all,

I recently acquired 2 Hans Wegner style rope folding chairs. I'm fairly certain they are knock-offs even though some online are trying to pawn them off as originals. My question is who the designer of these were?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My guess is that these were probably anonymous staff designers copying the more popular Wegner designs. Most of the ones I have seen are marked "Made in Yugoslavia". Are yours marked?

No, these do not have any markings on them whatsoever. I looked in great detail all around them after I saw several postings across the internet that other faux Wegner pieces had the "Made In Yugoslavia" markings but to no avail.
I'm going to keep hunting around to see if I can narrow down who made them but here is an eBay link to someone selling the same chair I have with a few more photos / angles if that helps.
