A rare ID request from me, but not looking for a value or to sell 😉
Picked up this 1950s beech side/ dining chair this morning.
It has a real look of Robin Day's early 50s stuff, and is also reminiscent of the Ercol butterfly chair.
Anybody any idea at all?
I'm stumped.

Sorry I can't help - but both chairs pictured are stellar. What's the armchair?

Another Mystery!
It was bought from an elderly widow whose husband bought it in the early 50s. He always called it his 'Ernest Race chair' but I can't find any proof of it being by him (or a similar chair by anybody else)
The legs and glides, however, appear identical to the Race metal framed armchairs (Heron, Flamingo)

I'm pretty sure
It's British (I'm in the UK)..the beech looks just like Ercol/ Day of the period, and the brass ferrules and hardware are typical of the period for UK
