Hi,
I have just bought a chair which I'm having trouble identifying as a genuine 675 chair? It's lacking the Hille badge underneath, and apart from that, I'm not sure what I should be looking for? I don't think the upholstery is original, so I'm thinking the whole seat may have been replaced and maybe the badge lost. It's pretty heavy, and has a good feel to it .But the only thing that worries me is that the feet are plastic. Can anyone help please!?
Thanks x

It's either
Hille or Habitat

I'll get some pictures on...
I'll get some pictures on here asap. It's definitely not Habitat, as it does have some age to it. Everything about it to me "feels" right, apart from the lack of Hille badge and the rubber feet (did they ever have rubber feet!?). Does anyone know whether this has ever been a widely copied piece?
x

Rampant crap copies of good o...
Rampant crap copies of good or interesting work is a pretty recent occurence, tooling up for things like molded plywood is cheaper now and the market larger or at least seen as more lucrative...so don't worry about it.
Day doesn't have quite the currency of Eames, these carpet baggers are only interested in making a buck so they'll target the simple lucrative designs first.
