Reupholstery: A cautionary note

Years too late, it hit me:

When I had our Knoll Morrison & Hannah sofa reupholstered (a nightmare of boneheaded decisions and inattention to detail on the part of the supplier), I neglected to ask the shop to save the old fabric and stuffing for me.

I realize now that the sling/cushions were in not-so-bad shape; I'd slip them back on the frames today if they were still around.

Just saw the same piece on apartment therapy (link below).

So, rule of thumb: never update anything irreversibly; save the old pieces.

Damn.
