They are gone!
The other design shops in Atlanta and a national lighting company have provided this information. The "Grand Opening" on February 2, 2009 did not happen, the doors are closed at the new location with absolutely no activity, the phones are never answered, and orders placed (several thousand dollars) have not been filled since 12-28-08. Not all information is available on the internet. They are history.
Sign of the times, I suppose
I have purchased from them because they maintained a brick and mortar retail presence and inverntory; although, I used there online mail order division as I do not live in Atlanta.
I found their telephone sales staff to be enthusiastic and helpful - imagine that!
And, they provided fun incentives for mail order purchases. I received an autographed copy of An Eames Primer once and some nifty tee-shirts for my other orders. I wish all retailers were keen enough to differentiate themselves in some way. While the cost of these items was negligible I have recommended Retro and continued to use them myself.
well at least there's........
allmodern is just one of literally hundreds of websites operated by csn stores..... do you really want to buy your eames chair from a company that also operates "everycrockpot.com" i certainly don't..... as for unica they seem more interested in selling gnome shaped soap and other weird knock-knacks.
