My husband and I have an older original Eames (exact age uncertain, but likely 40+ years old) lounge chair in need of cushion repair. The seat cushion has ripped - above the zipper, of course - and the stuffing leaks out. We've been generally lazy in getting this repaired, but the chair is in superb shape otherwise and its time to fix it up.
The questions:
-Does anyone know how much such a repair might cost? I have pics that I can send to you directly to show the site of injury.
-Does anyone know someone in/around the Washington DC area who would offer an estimate and/or do the repair?

Many thanks - glad to have found this forum.

Rebecca

Tricky and expensive business...
I am about to do this myself! Not cheap and you need a pro.

And a darned big upholstery needle!
Let me know how you fare,as I have an ottoman with a similar zipper/seam split, and I am reluctant to apply black gorrilla tape to it.
