Has anyone had a non-stick pan resurfaced? Googling suggests some businesses will do it for 10-15 a pan. Do they work well afterwards, or flake off after ten usings?

I'd have to bet...
that it will never be as good. After watching Alton Brown's Good Eats for years, I have learned many a smart thing about cooking. He puts forth that one should only buy the cheap aluminum nonstick pans because the coating will never last and then you can recycle the pan. Since I use non stick pans for one thing only...eggs. I've taken his advice.
