I have a Saarinen chair that has a few paint spots on it (not sure what kind of paint). Looking for recommendations on how to safely remove the spots... Thanks.

Assuming it's vintage fabric
it's probably wool, so you might try mixing a bit of paint thinner and water and dab it on the paint. This hopefully will losen up the paint so you can carefully pick it off.
Dilute the thinner...it's worth a try.

Sorry
I should have elaborated, I don't believe the fabric is wool. It's not the classic nubby type. There is no tag. Seems like a more commercial-type upholstery, so I think it may be polyester or nylon.

Goof-Off
If it's latex paint, Goof-Off will probably get it out. You should test it on the fabric in an inconspicuous place.
Make sure you get Goof-Off and not Goo-Gone, which is something else. Goof-Off is naptha-based, I think. It also works really well on adhesive residue from stickers and tape, but you can't use it on plastics.
