Hi all, as you may have guessed i'm new to this site! I've been reading with great interest but so far not found what i'm looking for!
I am in the process of totalling refurbishing an original 1970 Knoll Barcelona Chair.....
I need to replace all 17 straps and the cushion covers........
I want to do as much as possible myself and the materials must be sympathetic to the original fit and finish!
Can you help!

you really want to make the covers? a daunting task, i would say. surely any knockoff u/buy would fare better than homemade covers. there are sites that will sell the cushions alone, with covers of course.

...sorry, i haven't explained properly!
I will be re-polishing the frame and merely organising the rest of the project...buying the leather, supplying to a trimmer etc....
so,i need advice on sourcing the materials and the workmanship in the UK....

Try Alma leathers in london...
Try Alma leathers in london E1, they stock good quality hides, and they might be able to help you with a leather maker too!
