Reconstructed vintage, when I think of that phrase, I think of things that have a kitschy/frankensteiny/thriftshopy vibe. The kind of stuff you give a polite but disingenuous smile and a "wow cool", when your friend says "I made this!".

I like a lot the chairs, the second (tripod) is amazing.
Also the tables are great.
But the-beloved point, it's really great. That's the point!
Sometimes don't accept much this kind of works, because of that,(crafty, etc.), and it's also the perception of the final user.
Here is well applied the idea of Designer as Translator. His translation from old-stuff to final product arrived to a better place than others. Where it's also nice to have in the end that light flavor to recycled, very far in the end that like the strawberry of the cake.

The table bench employs my now-favorite joinery: a large glued lap-joint at the legs. And the leg is both elegant and eminently efficient in terms both of structure and of economy of material AND labor.
With no more effort, and even fewer parts, the leg could have been tapered both in side elevation -- if desired -- and in end view, by eliminating the spacer block at the bottom and simply bending the leg halves toward each other -- thus echoing the top construction.
