I'm visiting Philadelphia and DC next week and would like to visit good museums exhibiting mid-century modern design, sites with good MCM architecture or shops specializing in MCM. Any suggestions?

there are a few shops in old city (market st. and north), dwr studio in rittenhouse... one of my favorite spots for "eclectic" stuff is material culture.

Thanks!
I haven't been to either of these. I'll check them out. Mode Moderne looks quite expensive, but it will be so good to see these pieces in person.

Home Anthology
Home Anthology is about a 45-minute drive from north DC but is worth the trip. The shop is big and spacious and filled with all kinds of ineresting pieces. The owners are a very nice young couple who are refreshingly honest in their business dealings. The shop is only open on weekends or by appointment .
