i'm not making an argument just asking for an alternative recommendation of what to buy. you buy eames if you want to.
What I'm most interested in at the moment is to find out whether ergonomics or lack thereof is an issue when buying vintage office chairs.

hard to say
a friend of mine bought a new, ergonomic state of the art, chair (very ugly). now he always complaints about problems with his neck and back. i sit in a vintage, no ergonomics, chair and enjoying surfing the internet.

WHy must it have a high back? I have a leather Knoll Pollock. You can find them easily for just a few hundred and it's the most comfortable desk chair I've ever sat in. I love it. UNless you are going to take a nap in it why a high back?

Thanks folks.
Whitespike, higher backs are just another luxury. I like this luxury stuff. Otherwise I wouldn't be into vintage designer furniture.

Well Pollocks retail for around 3K and leather is definitely luxury. I just think you'll find if the chair is comfortable enough and gives good support, head support isn't really necessary ... and opens up a lot more possibilities/options.

Point taken Whitey but I have a leather lounge chair in my room already. PS the topic of discussion on this forum is already in the realm of luxury which is by its very definition not strictly necessary.

Keeping it up.
This thread has become pointless, like most of Lit Up's.
Edit: I mean senseless rather than pointless.

Lit Up, do I have the chair for you.
This high backed, gold plated chair designed by Hadi Teherani was rated as the most expensive office chair in the world.
For only $65,500 it can be yours
