I love this chair. I bought it for cheap, but it will cost a lot to restore/repair the leather and I'm trying to decide whether it's worth it. Does anyone know who designed it? The guy who sold it to me said it's Italian.

function over form
Any time a chair looks THAT weird, my first reaction is to respect the design for taking such a hard line in putting function and comfort over visuals. It kind of looks like a science experiment.
It MUST be comfortable. Otherwise, what is all of that STUFF for? Someone is working way too hard if it isn't comfortable. Maybe they just need to take the idiosyncratic aspects another step further for some real fun.
It sure is beige too...
(probably meant to break down easily for shipping)
