Real Or fake Saarinen base?

so I found this one CL today, its a "saarinen" base and someone just put a glass top on it cause the original top is missing.

Could someone tell me if the base looks authentic or not, im buying it for 100 bucks without the glass

I asked if it said br50 or br51 and he said he didnt see anything...but not all saarinen bases where marked that...

I didnt pull the trigger on it, 100 dollars for a base is to much if its not authentic.

I know its a fake, but what is it?
I found this table on craigslist and I was wondering if anyone has seen this before. Apparently it came with this house that someone bought and the previous owners had it bolted to the floor ever since the 50s.

What is it you ask? well... it is weird lol that base looks sooo small im guessing that is why the owner felt he had to bolt if to the floor. weird....
