Aged and Destroyed
I've heard that you can also use Simichrome polish to get the chrome bright and shiny. I just used steel wool with no additional polish or oil. I started slowly and lightly and worked over each speck of corrosion until it was bright and shiny. The finish is a brilliant mirror finish with no scuffs or dullness.
I wouldnt go so far as to rechrome them. But there's a difference between a little age, and totally a mess. Mine were totally a mess and the cleanup was 100% worth it! I'll try to post photos of the before and after.

I had to giggle...
'When I saw your place full of Eames chairs. It's not that I think it's at all funny, but simply that you seem to have "IT" as bad as most of us.
At least you don't have "IT" for something like stray cats. The chairs don't bite your feet at 3 a.m. and they don't pee in your houseplants.

Its not?!
OMG... its not real? I'm crushed. Ok. I'm kidding, I knew it was a reproduction when I bought it. There's a good thread, mostly between Spanky and I, about refinishing the knockoffs.
I do have "it" pretty bad. It gets a little crazy at times, within a small apartment there is only so much space available. But I've been getting better lately. I'm at almost two whole months without some crazy chair purchase!
